So after doing some research on this block, i'm finding out some very interesting stuff.
Had someone interested in it, so he got ahold of Darton to see what sleeves were in it.
Darton told him that they were custom made sleeves for McLaren Performance, back in 2005. And that they were for a 3.900 bore.
They did not advise running them at a 4" bore trying to make 1200HP.

So I started wondering how do you take a 4" bore block, sleeve it, and not get back to 4"?
I always knew these blocks were not stock pieces.
This is were I started to learn something.
Called the guy I got these from back in the day to find out more about it. He's the Turner for GM Racing.
Turns out GM racing really bends the rules, the Class racing they were doing states that they must use "production" blocks and heads.
Because they were no longer casting the 5.7 alum blocks,3.900 bore per rules, they had 6.0l blocks cast with no sleeves in HAND RUBBED CORES.
Only 25 were made. They then received partial machining at GM.
They then went to McLaren Racing Engines to be finished machined with Sleeves, and steel Main Caps.
They are set-up for a dry sump system, missing the input hole for oil pump, but convert to a wet setup easily. These are the blocks they used in 24 hour races in the GT cars.
One of the local shop bought all sorts of engines parts and complete engines. All this stuff was bought from a action when McLaren closed.

Got to take a look at some of the heads they made,(buddys got a set) damm are they trick. Cast in Hand rubbed core w/ 243 casting numbers.
Heads are cnc'ed @ 215cc's with complete clean up must have been pretty small to start, **** ton of expoxy,Valve seats are move, takes +.100 long valves.
They are 44cc cnc'ed chambers with a deck thickness of .340 still, No WELDING ANYWHERE, diffently been rubbed. All the porting work was done a Chapman.

The more i really learn about this block the nicer it gets.
I know must people will think i'm just blowing smoke up someones *** trying sell some ****, but any that knows anything bout GM's Racing program,
Knows that there is no telling what the **** they were doing.
I've even heard they cast them with different material, and have thicker decks. dont know what they were doing.
This block will NOT make a 400 incher, but it would be a badass block for a 5.7 based. A new ls2 block is $1000.
Add in the machine work for the doweled steel mains, stronger sleeve (O.d. is 4.110), main studs, it gets pricey quick.
One look at this block tells you that its not a stock piece, very nice.
Would love for someone else in michigan (detroit) to look at it, showing how nice it is. Pics just dont do it.
