Hello, so here is the deal. I bought this car from High Impact who is a fellow member on this forum. I bought this car on 7/18 Monday and had it transported from Florida to Michigan and it arrived on wednesday. I was all happy because there is a big cruise here this weekend so I planned on taking my 5 year old and 2 year old out to it in the car. Well my wife put a stop to it because there is a roll cage in the car so now I am flipping pissed. Anyways, so now I have nothing else left to do but sell it and search for something else. According to Mark, the car made 872rwhp at 19lbs on the old motor. The new motor I am sure will do much better and is good up to 23lbs. Since the motor and trans are not broke in because they only have 300 miles on them, I have not pushed it and have only drove it 5 miles to the gas station and back. The car has a ton of power and is probably one of the best built street cars out. But the motor and trans are brand spanking new because the old motor was an aluminum block and this is an iron block. I paid $21500 for the car plus transportation of $650. I just want to get $18000 for the car so I only lose a little. Worse comes to worse I will part it out but if someone wants a 1000rwhp street car that is built very well, this is the car. I do have the back seats and belts that will need to be put back in the car. Feel free to text me since that is the best way to get hold of me at 313-790-5592. Any questions, please let me know. Thanks.

Tony

Well nothing I can do. The wife doesn't want the kids in a car with a cage. I have bought 14 F Bodies since I have been on this site back in the early 2000's. Nothing wrong with the car but I am not cutting the cage out. I will just need to find a car of this caliber with no cage. If I can't sell it, I will part it out. No qualms there. Out of the 14 f bodies I have owned, I ended up parting out 5 of them so either it will sell or it will get parted. Talk to the guy who built the car. I attached his original sales thread on the car. There is nothing wrong with it. Just the cage has to go or the car. Easier to sell the car than it is to spend all of that time to take the cage out. My kids are 5 and 2. So they are young still. If they were older then it wouldn't be a big deal.

I was going to take it but can't take since I will have my kids. I may possibly drive it out there if I can get a sitter for my kids.

Updated the thread with more of the mods. Also open to some trades, preferably a Camaro SS with full suspension mods plus cash preferably in Black, Silver or Pewter. Also open to G bodies with the right mods or a car with 4 seats. No caged cars.

Why not just cut out the cross bar on the main hoop? That's the only thing that would affect the kids in the back seat. Nice car, free bump!

May look into parting this thing out if no trades or cash buyers come along. But before i part it out i would have to have buyers lined up for the engine, trans, turbo kit and rolling chassis. Just a thought. I have done it before and have no problems doing it again, lol....

I could do that. Lol but with the limited amount of time i have to make it perfectly cut out i dont have the time. Much easier to just start out with a non cage car lol....

Pardon my French but that's some fucked up **** right there.

I understand the no time part, I would suggest having a shop cut it out nicely. The time it takes to deal with phone calls, emails, people looking at it, title transfer, you can have the cage out and a car that your wife will approve of. If you are going to part it out, how will you have time to tear it down? The cage will take very little time to cut out.

Whatever you choose, I wish you luck

I will not end up parting this out but i am going to just sell this outright. I am going to drop the price to $21,000 and see where that gets me. I have another car on hold after this sells.
