2006 5.3 Vortec L33 Engine (799 heads) 81k Miles
Category: Engine - Complete Motors
Price: $1234
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird, Corvette, 04-06 Pontiac GTO, 04+ Cadillac CTS-V
Location (State): MS
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
Engine: LS2/LS3/LS7/L92/LS9
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine
I purchased this engine in 2014 at LKQ in Medley, Florida for a LS-Series swap into Camaro and paid $1600.00 ($1500 for the engine $100.00 core charge) for it. I ended up moving to Mississippi; never found the needed time to start my project. I'm selling this engine, because I'm moving next month.
I could have easily purchased a $500 -$900 high mileage LM7 5.3 Iron Vortec, I didn't want that.. I went for reasonable low mileage "less weight, strong block, great heads and stout factory internals." I'm opened to offers, but Low ball offers will not be entertained...
Things you should know:
The engine is a 2006 Chevrolet GEN 3 Long Block, factory 24x tooth reluctor wheel, heavy duty 4th Gen rods and flat top pistons, camshaft position sensor is on the top rear of the block, all from the factory. This engine is very versatile for swaps or simple drop in's, it's the very reason I purchased it!
NO TRADES.....Cash is KING! (Buyer pays PAYPAL fees, and arranges shipping.)
I don't deliver, but I will drop off at the local carrier terminal if you need that. The engine is here in Meridian, MS and the zip code is "39307" if you guys need a quote. The engine is available for viewing anytime after 4pm in person.
If you have questions message me.

Thank you! Exactly all you have to do is drop it in a chassis and go! (Non-DOD, Non-VVT) this engine is ready to rock! It's amazing what GM done, the Aluminum blocks vs the Iron Blocks are night and day difference in weight, this engine is lite! Lot's of interest but no dice!

I gave away the original L33 (Intake & throttle body) to a guy to compensate his labor for replacing my 40 gallon hot water heater. I never had any intentions on using the stock intake to begin with, so I purchased a "Fast LSr 102mm" intake still the in box, if you are interested; it's never been mount or assembled. It's brand new... I paid $890.00 for the FAST intake, it does NOT come with a throttle body. I'm willing to sell it [Fast Intake] for $800.00 (Does not include Pay Pal Fees or Shipping).

FYI, That Is a Gen 3 block. Camshaft sensor is in the rear of the block, and the knock sensors are in the middle of the valley tray.
A Gen 4 block has the camshaft sensor on the front timing chain cover, the knock sensors on the side of the block, and the DOD towers in the middle of the valley.
GLWS!

Is that for just the l33 motors? I have a 2005 6.0 and a 2005 5.3 and both are gen 4 with 24x reluctor with the cam sensor in the rear and do not have dod. Reason I'm asking is because I have been thinking about getting one but don't want to open it up and see it doesn't have gen 4 rods and long head bolts.
An L33 is a Gen 3 architecture plan and simple. It will have the better floating pin rods in it.
The floating pin rods are not exclusive to the Gen 4 platforum. They started back in 2003 in the LQ9.

Good morning,
I'm going to agree with you there -- the L33 engine is Generation 3 in architecture [Aluminum Engine Block] and uses Generation 3 electronics sensors & location (24x Crank Position Sensor, Camshaft Position Top Rear of the Block, Knock Sensors in the Valley) with 799 heads.
On the inside of the engine, it has 4th Generation internals components from the factory, with flat top pistons with coated skirts, and floating beefier/heavy duty rods.
Thank you for the correction, I will update the listing shortly.

No, that's all LS motors. Rods and reluctor wheel's don't make the motor generation, the block architecture does. Cam sensor in the rear and knock sensors in the middle of the Valley on the block is a Gen 3

Hi,
Thanks for the offer, but at the moment I'm not looking to purchase any parts because I am moving next month. I'm just looking to sell this engine, tons of interest but no dice!
