The previous owner had the 383 put in by a shop in California, but he did not have paperwork for it. I will trade for any stock vehicle that is worth $6,000.

It had stock manifolds when I got it, it also had a baby TR220 cam, LS1 intake, stock cats and y pipe on it. It had to still pass California smog.

Less than a thousand miles on the cam swap, I did the work. The car has been parked since I heard the tapping and I have not touched it since. So no, I have not drained the oil or cut open the filter to check for metal in the oil.
