Default 2000 Specially Constructed Vehicle Corvette (MO)

Year: 2000
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Corvette
Price: $15000
Mileage: 57000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MO
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

I built and customised this car from almost the ground up. Because of the nature of the build, the state is titling the car as a 2000 Specially Constructed Vehicle. I could of had it say 2012, but the property taxes are so much more. The car has had it's VIN removed, and a DR# attached, so it has a new windshield in it. It has 58000 miles on it and 18000 miles since her 2nd birth. I took it to the track once and ran a 12.97.

I have a clean title in hand that reads 2000 SPEC - "Specially Constructed Motor Vehicle." (This is not a "R", rebuilt, or salvage title.)

There were only about 4500 Fixed Roof Coupes build in 99 and 00, and most of them came with more of a all black bare bones interior. This car has 2 tone black and tan interior with a HUD, Coubeau Micro Suede seats, MGW shifter, Momo steering wheel and a complete Focal component soundsystem with a JL W3 sub on a 5 channel Memphis amp with a Kenwood head unit. Tinted Windows, and Hushmat throughthe car.

The exterior is Hot Rod Black with Radioflyer Stealth Light Cannon V2 headlights, clear corners with LED switchback DRL's, TSW 18in wheels (no pressure sensors), Nitto NTO5 rubber (60 percent).

I put C6 ZR1 manifolds, downpipes, and x-pipe into a Borla touring catback with K&N CAI, bilstein HD shocks, Hinson urethane rear diff mount, replaced the right rear axel, and lowered. Amsoil everything.

With all these upgrades, this car is better than a Z06 now. It has as much HP as a stock one, and has a much nicer interior. I have upgraded everything that Chevy when skimpy on.

NADA value is $18.4, so I am looking for $15000. There is $10k plus in aftermarket in this car.(Fully documented). I might consider a trade. I also have my Camaro for sale, so if I sell it first this may not be for sale anymore.

No. It has a crap title. Basically like a kit car. Hurts the value tremendously.

You would have trouble fetching $8-9,000 for this car with that title.... You can buy clean as hell z06's for $17,000 that dont have a rediculous story and havent been torn down and patched back together....

I have not seen clean as hell z06's for 17k. You should buy it if you have seen them that cheap with under 100k miles. I have had 12k offers so far on this car. Most places loan 75 percent on salvage, like my credit union. I am not asking the full value price anyway. I might come down a little for cash, but I do want to thank you "experts" for your comments.

2 of those cars are 100k mile cars, and the other 2 aren't as nice as my car. Stock Corvette seats, shifter, stereo, and lighting are junky. I would take my car over those anyday. If you buy those cars, and add to them like mine, you will be 20-22k. That is what I see Z06's with the mods like my car has go for. I might take 15k cash, but it would have to be infront of my face...

So I can add a kit car title to a regular z06 and it would only cost me 22k? Because your car has been torn apart theirs havent.

What is the difference in rebuilding a car all at once, or doing maitenance and modding over time. The stuff still gets replaced. I used all quality and better than factory parts.
I am asking less than book value, and less than most low mile cars. Also, I have said that I don't really want to sell this car, but everything is for sale for the right price.
I do understand that you would like to get a steal of a deal for this car. Almost anyone would buy this car for 10-12k all day long. This car has that in aftermarket.

I think it'll be a tough sell for what you are asking as well. I've seen some z06's for 15k as well with right at 100k or so miles and they have clean and clear titles. One Reason salvage titled cars have less mileage is because they werent on the road for who knows how long because they were getting repaired or have been sitting waiting to be repaired.

I've seen garage queens sit more and for longer. Miles on the clock is a universal standard, whether sitting for repairs or storage.

Car is probably worth 12k in stock form, I have 10k+ in aftermarket. Supposedly aftermarket is worth about 1/3. I think $15000 is a reasonable price

Did you personally rebuild the vehicle? If so I'd like to see before and after photos and of the reconstruction before I make an offer. Also what's the backstory? James_M_Worley@hotmail.com

Thanks for your time

Thank you! I DD her right now, and she puts a smile on my face every time I see her. I will have a hard time selling her, and keeping my Camaro, but I do want to sell one of them.
