Don't ever engage in business with chuck8881. I posted a WTB. Ad for an SLP Bowtie grille and this loser tried to get me to send money using money gram so I had no protection. The funny part is I asked for pictures and the dude used the very first google image from a z28.com post from 2009.

Messaged me too. Always look at the date they joined and if someone asks you to email their personal email account if you are interested it is a dead giveaway. No one that I have dealt with on the tech that is legitimate ever asked that.

This is BS.
I am new to this forum and have been buying and selling parts on line for years. My first day on this site I purchased a set of 243 heads and used my email and cell phone for correspondence.
Not everyone who give out their email are scammers.

I thought u had to be a member for 6 months or a certain amount of posts before having access to classifieds purchases i guess using personal email.and cell phone number is a way around that ?

Not everyone who does that is a scammer but most every scammer does that. If you choose to communicate in ways similar to those used by scammers you have to be prepared for people to suspect that you might be a scammer.

Just as a (albeit late) follow-up to this, we banned Chuck8881 shortly after this thread was posted due to the multiple reported scam attempts.
