Default 1997 C5 Corvette 408ci Stroker

Year: 1997
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Corvette
Price: $12500
Mileage: 150000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MI
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

Up for sale is my black 1997 C5 Corvette. FINAL PRICE DROP $12.5k! It is a 6-speed coupe with a Texas Speed and Performance LQ4 based 408ci (6.7L) stroker engine, put down 460/450 wheel at Tick Performance when the clutch installed and could easily do 500whp with decent heads/intake. Sounds awesome with the cam and exhaust, but 100% streetable and I have been using it as a daily for a while now in nice weather. List of mods:

Texas Speed and Performance LQ4 based 408ci Longblock
Ported 243 heads
TSP Texas Giant Cam (248/254 .615"/.615" 113LSA)
PRC .660" dual valve springs (recently installed)
Hardland 1.7 Roller Rockers (update design)
Monster Stage 3 Clutch & Flywheel (recently installed)
Tick Performance Slave Cylinder (recently installed)
New torque tube bushings and bearings (recently installed)
C6 Z06 Shifter and Shift ****
Halltech Intake
LS6 Intake Manifold
42lb Injectors
NGK TR6 Plugs
Moroso Oil Catch Can
TSP Long Tube Headers
TSP Catless X-pipe
XS Power 2.5" Exhaust
Innovate LM2 Wideband (hardwired used for tuning only, no guage)
C6 Z06 18" Wheels powdercoated Black
West Coast Corvette Lowering Bolts
New AC Condensor/Evaporator/Lines
I'm probably forgetting some things

The bad:
AC is not currently working due to the compressor. I bought the car with no AC and put all new components in except the compressor because I was told it was good. AC worked for about a week, now no longer does. I was going to replace it myself but don't quite have the time anymore.
The front bumper shows a little clear coat fading, but the color still looks good, and the targa top is pretty faded but that can be fixed pretty easy with a little buffing.
The other issue is the driver side seat power functions are very slow, needs to have the seat motor replaced. It never really bothered me as the seat will still move and I have never had to move it.

Located in Detroit, MI. Only trades I would be interested in are a CTS-V (v1), G8 GT, bmw 335i or audi s4.

-8cc Wiseco 2618 pistons for 11.5:1 CR
TSP h-beam rods
TSP 4340 4" crank
GM 6.0L Gen3 iron block
Mahle h-series bearings

according to TSP, motor should be good to 950HP but should probably have the rings gapped appropriately if switching to nitrous/boost

Great deal, and I'd jump on it in a heart beat, but it's about 2.5 compression points high for what I would do. Good luck with the sale ! When I'm done my build I plan on trading it within a year for a newer corvette or jeep srt8 ðŸ‘ðŸ»

8.5k on the motor but it will go up as it's perfect weather for it so I've been driving it. Trans and rear are stock except for the clutch, and holding up awesome

Haha thanks man, I've have dialed the tune in well on 93 and see no knock but I could retune it on 91 and it would be fine I think. Or run some ethanol and make more power!
