Sale pending! Parts in red are spoken for at this time.

A build has changed directions for a customer. The short block was originally intended for boost, but it could also make a pretty stout nitrous motor as well. The only issue with running it NA is that the rings are a little looser than what I prefer for regular street use for NA, but *might* pair well with a higher SCR; this can be achieved with a lower CC combustion chamber.

This setup has ZERO miles on it. The block is fresh from the machine shop after a thorough cleaning, fresh cam bearings, and with beautifully honed cylinders. It was also slightly decked to obtain the piston height, ring gaps, and quench I desired for the goals of the build - ~20 psi on pump gas to achieve >1,000rwhp. The rotating assembly was matched and balanced. If the specifics of the build are requested by the potential buyer, I will share them once a deposit has been made.

6.2L Aluminum Block – Low Mileage… like less than 30k miles, IIRC.
Stock Crank w/58 Tooth Reluctor
Clevite P-Series Main and Rod Bearings
ARP Main Studs
Callies Compstar 6.125” Rods with ARP Bolts
Wiseco -11cc Forged Piston Set (10-K44X7)
ARP Head Studs
Cloyes Race Billet True Roller Timing Set w/ ZO6 Chain
ARP Camshaft Bolt Kit
Melling High Pressure Oil Pump
New Front Cover, Gasket, and Seal
New Rear Cover, Gasket, and Seal
New Coolant and Oil Plug Kit
LS9 Head Gaskets

The rest of the build can be tailored to the future owner’s desires...

Cathedral Head Options: - ~5k miles on parts

WCCH 245 Cathedral Port Heads - Haven't even been bolted back on since WCCH refreshed them last month. Previously only had ~5k miles and had to get the intake port corrected because the port was a little low for sealing.
• Inconel Exhaust Valves and SS Intake Valves
• 69cc Combustion Chambers
• PAC 1218 Springs
• Titanium Retainers

Jesel J2k Rockers
Ported and Painted FAST 102
Nick Williams 102mm TB

Rectangular Head Options:

TEA CNC’d Trickflow 255 Rectangular Port Heads
• 2.165” Intake Valve / 1.600” Exhaust Valve
• Competition Multi-angle Valve Job
• PAC 1904 Springs
• Titanium Retainers
• LS3 Rocker Stands
• Flow Sheet and Receipt

Stock 823 Casting Rectangular Port Heads
Stock LS3 Rockers with or w/o Upgraded Trunions

Brand New Stock LS3 Intake

Other Build Options:

Johnson Link Bar Short Travel Roller Lifters
Comp Link Bar Short Travel Roller Lifters - ~5k miles with no issues
With or without camshaft/pushrods – Can be spec’d, degreed, and installed. The camshaft currently installed, as shown in the picture, is the stock camshaft; used to check the new cam bearings and left in place.

I'm not really sure at this point where to start the pricing since there are so many avenues the buyer can take this build. Pricing listed below are to get ideas going..

Short block as assembled in the pictures $Pending

I am willing to sell the short block with the parts installed or separately. I will also sell some of the parts separately once the short block is sold.

Please feel free to pm, call, or text with questions. three1eight-two7eight-five5nine5

Keep an eye out for the CEA PT8884 turbo and LSA FEAD (here) for sale also. I can make a killer package deal for a serious buyer.

Pictures have been uploaded. I will upload the in-progress build pictures later today once I get more free time.

Also, I forgot to mention - I will be willing to travel a reasonable distance to meeting up with the buyer. As noted in my profile, I am located in Ponchatoula, LA.

As promised, here are some pictures of the parts mentioned in the listing.

Also, I've had a few questions asking how much it would cost to complete the short block. It will all depends on the parts chosen... my labor is going to basically be free. That alone should help justify buying the complete long block with the quality parts already installed.

I have decided to start putting together some pricing options that I have discussed through PMs and a refresher on the short block as it sits.

1. Assembled short block (as it sits now) - $5,000

2. Assembled long block - $8,000

The assembled long block will also include the following parts, but they can also be purchased separately with the short block. The parts listed below alone are well over $4k, and my labor is technically free.
  • Trickflow or WCCH heads - both sets are over $3k as they are currently configured
  • ARP Head Studs
  • Cloyes Race Billet True Roller Timing Set w/ ZO6 Chain
  • ARP Camshaft Bolt Kit
  • Melling High Pressure Oil Pump
  • New Front Cover, Gasket, and Seal
  • New Rear Cover, Gasket, and Seal
  • New Coolant and Oil Plug Kit
  • LS9 Head Gaskets
  • Custom Spec'd Camshaft
  • Heavy Wall Pushrods
  • Johnson or Comp Link Bar Lifters

3. Any possible combination of the parts

Parts also available for purchase to the person that buys the motor:
  • Jesel J2k Rockers (only with cathedral heads)
  • Ported and Painted FAST 102 Intake Manifold (only with cathedral port heads)
  • Nick Williams 102mm TB
  • Stock 823 Casting Rectangular Port Heads
  • Stock LS3 Rockers with or w/o Upgraded Trunions (only with rectangular port heads)
  • Brand New Stock LS3 Intake (only with rectangular port heads)
  • Brand New LSA Front End Accessory Drive
  • Brand New GM 89018052 Water Pump

After a few inquiries, I will try to determine a price for the long block with the stock 823 casting heads.

Hope that clears up some questions!

Price drop to $4,500. Just for reference, I just put together a similar iron block build cost earlier for ~$3800 in parts alone. $700 more for ~110# in weight savings!
