Did that come directly from Comp? Either way, I'd send that back.. I would not put that in my motor..

Just on visual alone I would send it back, especially on the 2nd pic. the lobe face itself looks "rough"
I had a custom cam from Comp. It was very nice finish
I would also cc the "cam guru" (Lloyd?) Not his fault but his opinion should be noted. I would think he would contact Comp also

Who was this "guru..."?
That has nothing to do with it. That cam is nothing more than a bad casting. It looks as though it was taken out of the reject bin. The journals and lobes should be ground down with a tapered edge. The lobes on that cam don't even look as though there's enough material to do that properly and none of the surfaces have been polished. Take a pic of the snout.

I can't see Comp sending something like that out.. I could be wrong.. But I think the "guru" is to blame for passing a China cam off as Comp.. Not trying to start anything, but something is fishy..

Lol! No im not blaming anyone. I just believe comp's machine must of just had a friday- day when grinding the cam. Im going to send it back for a regrind. Lloyd isnt to blame. In fact he is an awesome, easy to talk to, super knowledgeable, and helpful man. Comp just needs to get my cam lookin better!
