Default New build coming soon...

Tell me what you guys think of the parts list. This will be going on my 1998 camaro z28 1le. Its on a 10 bolt with 3.90's and a mcleod twin disk clutch. Everything will be bolted to my 382 ci ls1 equipped with a forged scat crank, je -2cc pistons, amd eagle rods. Currently running the heads/ cam combo listed in my sig. Just know i have alot more in my set up.

Prc 225 as cast heads
62cc
Stainless valves
Tsp dual .660 lift springs
7.475 pushrods
Melling high volume oil pump
Custom grind stroker cam 240/248 .615/.615 114+4 lsa
98mm ftp lid
Delphi 85mm maf
Ls6 intake and stock throttle body
60lb injectors and fuel pump

What numbers would you say are feasible with this set up? Anyone else running something similar?

It sounds like a stout setup. I would imagine a better intake would really open this up. What sort of exhaust are you running?

It will eventually get a 102/102 set up. Currently not in the budget. Im building my camaro and my gf's camaro at the same time lol. Currently have hooker 1 3/4 heads, 3in y pipe into a 4in flowmaster merge. It then dumps at the 4in i pipe.
Im hoping to hit 460-490rwhp... Currently car makes 420rwhp but has an amazing torque curve! Currently on shitty heads/ cam and stock maf and stock lid

I think you are probably close to maxing out the LS6 intake's capabilities, to be honest. I think it will choke before you reach the end of your new cam. The new lid should definitely help, but the sooner you can step up to the Fast 102/102, I think you will really see what those heads and cam have to offer. I think to reach the higher end of your goals you may need dual exhaust.

Someone on here did the math and test to prove that a good single 4in merge was just about as efficient as a dual 3in x pipe... Plently of people make lots of power with them.
Is there a cheaper intake manifold that throttle body that would work better? I can justify $1200 for maybe 20rwhp

On an honest dyno I don't see it being much over 460 hp with the LS6 intake

I agree. You might even find your power falls off fast up top. Let her breathe! You might find a used fast from someone who swapped to a MSD

I would also measure for the pushrods instead of going with what a vendor recommends. They're usually close, but I found that I needed longer ones to get the most out of my setup. Should be great once you're all said and done!

Looks like it will be a stout setup for sure. Intake and throttle body upgrade will be a welcome addition to this planned package.

You know what I'd do instead of the Fast 102 and bigger headers?? Get a basic nitrous kit and make 5 times that power Seriously, for like half the cost of the headers and Fast combined you could have WAY more power. Just a thought....

TR6 is fine n/a, but if doing 100-150 shot the BR7 is a much better choice
