Track results from exhaust swap? 600hp+
I'm about to take my BS exhaust off and build/buy something else to replace it. I have true duals with rigged up tail pipes out back. It was a temporary fix to get the car back together last year but I need to redo it. I want it go all the way out the back and be as quiet as possible. My car is roughly 630-650hp at the crank and will end up with 200 shot on it. What type exhaust systems are most of you running in that power range and did you ever make a change and document the ET difference? It's a daily type car so I don't want this noise and dragging exhaust anymore. I don't want to run cut-outs either.

i say run a single 4". it won't be a restriction at all on motor,no idea about on spray. my muffler is a chinese magnaflow look alike. makes the same power all the way out the back as it does with open headers or a cutout.

Where are you located? I built an oval tubing exhaust not too far back that was a ground clearance nightmare, used 2x3 inch oval dual tubing.
May be something to look into, my personal choice would be to run whatever the collectors are to a 4 inch merge and run a single 4 inch pipe, over the axle into a single 4 in/4out muffler, like the old mufflex setup's were. That's likely your best bet. But a oval
Tubing setup with a pair of mufflers like a super 44 would work as well, but I'd dump that out in front of the rear tires.

I'm in central Mississippi. I'm 100% sure it will be all the way out the back. I had it dumped last year and I didn't even want to drive it. I talked to dynomax and magnaflow and they told me basically what I already knew, that I need a straight through muffler. The 3" dual/dual with the internal X pipe is good for about 630hp without a loss of power which would be fine because I'm probably really close to that without any nitrous, so that's probably what I will end up with even though I don't want the X pipe. Hopefully it doesn't hold me back on the spray.

Super 44 flowmaster is a 2 chamber 4 inch case, I just cut the 2.5 openings off and hole-sawed a 3.5 inch hole in the ends so it was a 3.5 in/out and a thin 4 inch case.
Worked rather well. Car went 9.50 at 3350 like clockwork, made 460 at the wheels thru the exhaust with the timing pulled for nitrous, only had 17 degrees in it.
