I bought this vig 3800 from a member of this board. He had the converter opened and cleaned out by a local shop in maryland area. I had the converter in my car for a week and my front pump went Left some burn marks on the neck. I would send this back to percision and have it cleaned up and checked out. The conveter is now blue but you can see the pink paint underneath. I was quoted 250 from P.I. to freshin it up

The converter was perfect. I had put it behind a new rebuilt tranny and the pump went.

I would not put it in the car until the converter has been gone through either by P.I, or your choice of local shops which might charge less./

 

This is a 750 dollar converter guys. Defintly a easy way to save some loot
