Where are you trying to buy them? From the dealer?

Can't you just put any high flow cat on there?

Why not just use an aftermarket high flow cat?

Why not find just any used converters that someone is selling and knock the guts out of them and weld them in? You'd save a lot of money that way!

las vegas emissions is stricter than cali in some ways.. and im doing a swap... In order to do it i have to take it to gm and they have to inspect in and then write me a letter head that says that all the emissions devices are there to give to the dmv who then re-inspects all the emissions devices.. blah blah blah anyway an emissions ref that works for gm is going to test it and then the emissions lab... and if the o2 sensors aren't reading right... FAIL! now i know in 04' they got rid of the air pump and i think that has something to do with why the catalytic converters are so special...

Converters are converters. It's the placement that was changed for the GTO. They are located closer to the motor for quicker lightoff.
