Default Need some input on an upcoming race... (LONG STORY)

Chapter 1
Well where to begin. I guess from the beginning so you know the rivalry . I bought my 98' trans-am when I was 17. In 2004. Came with a lid, under drive pulley, some junkie flowmaster exhaust, Lower control Arms, forget the other suspension parts, a Hurst competition short throw, MTI t1 cam, no tune, and Mac mid-lengths. Was happy as could be owning my ls1 killing' everything in the small town I live in and hanging with some other moded ls1's. Well one night a now close friend, then an ***-hole, came up and asked me if I wanted to run a race with him, his friends laughing and making me feel like crap, and me being an idiot agreed . He pulled up in his 04' Cobra, which had a 2.76 upper, Intake, 3' bassani full exhaust, street radials, sts pro 5.0, predator tune, and some other things. His car made in the mid to high 4xx's rwhp I would guess. Back then I was making mid 3xx's. Went out to the local racing road, honked 3 times, and got the biggest ***-whoopin' I had ever received up to that point. He pulled at least 4-5 cars by the end of 3rd, and that was the end of the race. Lol, coming back to the group of friends that were out that night gave me the same feeling as when you get pulled over...

Chapter 2
Well since then I became a member on here, and blew my motor up . Lol, dropped some cash back in the car and ended up with this mod list.
346 .5 over, forged pistons/crank, Comp Cams 224/228 .534/.537 112lsa, Stock Ported Heads that flowed
@.400 int 222.0 exh 149.7
@.500 int 243.2 exh 167.6
@.600 int 247.3 exh 179.0,
Rebuilt transmission and the mods listed up top. Made 390 rwhp n 387 trq. Got my car back after the tune and we went out again. This time we did a dig and I pulled a car to two immediately off the line, but he still ran me down and got ME by a car or 2...
Again I was defeated, but this time me and Kyle (Cobra owner) had become friends so I didn't feel as dumb. Still he gave me some **** but it was all in good fun.

Chapter 3.
Well, since then I have changed some things out and now I feel a little more confident. Unfortunately so has he...
I have since upgraded to a 12-bolt (456 gears!! ahh! it's what came with it, and man does she like to launch!!), The new MS4 and ls6 stg. 1 heads from Texas Speed and Performance (thanks Jason and john Reynolds for all the help), EGR delete, Pacesetter Long tubes, Full 3' Custom exhaust w/ custom built x-pipe all the way back, Ls6 intake, K&N (lol thought I would throw that in there), MT Street-radials, 32# injectors, upgraded fuel pump, Crank and alternator pullies, other mods listed previously, and a tune. Made 430ish rwhp and 410ish trq. Can't remember the exact number and can't find the dyno sheet.

WELL, since then he too has changed his set-up to as follows:
4 pound Lower and 2.76 upper, stg. 4 ported stingameier blower(spelling I know), Intake, 3' bassani full exhaust, street radials, sts pro 5.0, Diablo tune, solid rear w/ 373's, KB boostapump, Diablo mafia, and some other things. His car makes 500-550 rwhp (his guess).

Chapter 4.
Finally, I need to know your input on this upcoming race. I would like to know what you think the outcome would be right now in an approx. 1/4 street race.
I’m not a crappy driver but he defiantly has his shifts down and knows his car quite well.
]*I am looking for some sauce to throw on-top of this* but I have to sell or trade for some stuff before I can actually afford to get some nitrous. Lol, I have some stuff for sale or trade if anyone is interested but I seriously doubt it... https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/651919-ported-heads-mac-headers-mti-t1-cam-stock-parts.html
I don’t know, I don't think I have this race won at all but I would love to have at least one win under my belt before he gets his TT setup... then it is all said and done .
I don’t know comments are greatly appreciated and some suggestions are greatly needed. COMMENT

the 03-04 cobra's are dog's from a dig! you should whoop him good in a 1/4 race without juice! but from a roll he's gonna come around you bro! unless your on spray? then I would start out on motor and just as he start to catch you and squeek by you hit the sauce and leave him dirty!

I dont think this one is your average Cobra. A solid rear axle + 500-550hp= a whoopin on a car with 430hp.

lol i would like to sell my stuff, but i am more interested in what you would suggest to secure a win. As in, what shot of spray would you suggest to secure a car or two win...

you should be spraying being allready forged.

150-200 shot on a ms4/ls6 with a 12bolt and 4.56's=
that would be pretty nasty. that cam supposedly loves spray.

That TransAm and Cobra most likely weigh pretty close to each other with their current setups. Just stop.
