Pro that is the way to do it! I have not done the Camaro lights but I did have my buddy do these for me. He did them at his body shop, it is clear with black added in and then cleared, sanded and polished. They look better then the paint!!

i bought some vinyl crap off some guy ebay once... and i threw em right in the trash... i been looking at the tail light covers... probably only a little more....

i have had tailight covers and the vinyl..the tailight covers melted my tailights..the vinyl was ok but it wasn't as dark as the picture they put on ebay, also it had bubbles in it until i trimmed it down a lil bit but once it was on it looked decent, I took it off though. If i was gonna blackout my tailights again i would just get them painted and call it a day that way you wouldn't have to worry about anything

I like that look.. I wonder how different a good VHT application would look side by side with the blackened clear?

To install try soap and water, just like window tinting and squeege all the air bubbles out and let dry in the sun for 1/2 a day. All should look good then. ....now I gotta find some for T/As!!

Looks like it would stick to the lights without anything but static force! Just have a very clean surface.

Just do the VHT, it's surpisingly easy to do and it looks cool too

i only like the smoked tail lights look on dark cars on lighter cars it just doesnt look right
