A proper RWD car > training wheels GTR
I can't think of a single super/hyper-car owner who has even registered a GTR (l337 version or not) as a blip on their radar.
You could have an ugly purpose-car technowonder run the damn track in under 7 minutes flat and come in at ~$60K; and it will still be dogged and absolutely dismissed for these reasons:
1. You have every ***** in the world owning such a car now claiming they can do xyz
2. The car drives for you, requires mere suggestion of where you want to go
3. Requires no skill, other than writing a check to the dealer.
As a result, said technowonder owner will be left out in the cold when it comes to a lot of events (and he would likely get a very cold shoulder) and for the remote possibility he ever drive a non-safety diapered car again he will surely crash.

Why? A person should strive to improve their skills be it drag, autox, or road track. But if theres enough safety-nets to cover up a good chunk of mistakes, then how can a person learn? Learning comes through experience, both success AND failure.
Don't get me wrong however, I <3 technology, but it should augment the underlying skills, not replace (which is my biggest bone to pick with the GTR's; it'll make supposed supermen out of joe q publics). If it had mechanical diffs, conventional 6 speed manual, and just ABS, I'd be salivating at it.
Haha, there is such a thing as too much technology, my daily driver is a perfect example of a technogidget wonderland; and I couldn't even tell you what a 1/4 of the acronyms stand for.
