Default Subframe in 8's

What are you guys in the 8's doing to strengthen the subframes? Using off the shelf parts? If so, what parts?

Nice bud avatar.....

I'm taking the slow route. 11's 1st year of owning. 10's second year. Looking for 9's 3rd year. Stock bottom end still together.

At some point a 4 link and back halfing has to come into play. At which point, I don't know yet, but will find out within a few years.

Well, some people like to set up their cars for what they hope in the future to do, hence why he's more than likely asking for, why redo things, do things right the first time. You sure were a lot of help

Off the shelf connectors should be fine, at that level you'll have a full cage in there which will help stiffen it further

I build all the subframs for the cars i do. If you plan on runing 8.49 you are going to have to have a SFI 25.5 cage. If i was starting from scratch get a shop to build you a set. I would build them out of c/m if you plan on 8s that weight will mean somthing then.

im back halfing my car and im just gonna take some 2x3 square tube and connect it to the front frame and the rear crossmember and the cage will more than stiffen up the rest. but yeah do it right the first time, if you plan on running 8s but as of right now want to still street drive it and run 11s or 10s then maybe do say front suspension first cause that can still be streetable then work your way into the 8s. -tony-
