Default In the 9's!!! does this count?

so i took my 2008 CBR1000RR to the track yesterday and turned a 9.61 at 151 mph! just a slip on, BMC air filter, and PCIII. i know it's not an LSX vehicle but damn it's still a 9 sec run. lol. i'll get my slip up later.

i was hoping to get some critics. yeah bikes are monsters. i never thought i'd bring mine to the drag strip but i needed to embarass this guy with a Viper SRT-10. he blamed his loss to having a half tank of gas. too bad his 12.5x isnt even close to compete with my run. there was a 700 hp turbo/stretched busa running LOW 8's and he had to back out at the 1/8 mile because he said his brakes werent enough to slow from 200 mph in a half mile. that's nuts!!!

What was your 60', 1.8?

That bike pulls on the other end like something serious, bc my FZ1 only traps 135mph and I'm right at high 9's.

151mph out of a stockish CBR1000....wow, either you are full of **** or Ricky Gadson. the new GSXR1000's want even trap that. Not trying to be an *******, but I would like to see a video or slip of that pass.

bjamick, what do you have done to your FZ? my next bike will probably be an FZ1, i wanna see what itll take to get 9's out of it.

btw, badass run OP! i bet that was better than a 1.8 60'.

I have gutted cats, -1 tooth front sprocket, and an air filter. It should run 9s in better weather, but if I had a 151mph trap I would be in the 8's lol.

you missed the hole point of my post...I stand behind my
statement. I don't think it ran that fast., that mph is
too high. my best friend ran 9.65@147 on a stock wheelebase busa. nothing more than a slip on and strap. I have seen what that bike did to a geared, tuned, full exhaust, intakes cbr1000 on the highway. wasn't even a race.

You guys running 9's on a bike are NUTZ!

I mean that respectfully. Has to be a kick.

I liked the Viper story. I lined up next to one at Speedworld and his license plate said I8URVET. He ran a 12.3 to my 11.8.

The strip has a lot more to do with rider skill than the highway, that doesnt seem like a very good comparison. I get tore up by H/C LS1's all the time on the highway, but it's a different story at the track. The 08 CBR is also a hell of a lot lighter than a busa and it makes awesome mid-range power for a 1000. Congrats on the pass OP, I'll be getting me an 08 1000RR real soon

I had the chance to ride the bolt on CBR I was talking about in my post. I still stand 110% behind my statement..........

You are insane if you think that a CBR1000rr with those mods listed won't out run a basically stock busa. Even on the highway....the busa will get the shitty end of that race. My 2005 Repsol Honda made 151 rwhp.....showroom stock. Tuned, full exhaust, geared......... that Honda will easily make 165-170 if it is a 2005-2007. Closer to 175 or more if it is a 2008 or newer. And sorry.....but the Honda can easily keep up with the GSXR1000. Honda whoops Suzuki all day everyday in FIM WSBK. 151 mph is what that bike will trap all day long....Guaranteed.
