Thanks guys, the dragster is a 1988 Ed Weddle chassis it's my old comp car, the engine is an LS2 aluminum block with LS3 heads on it, it's 364" and is 13.7:1 has a Lunati crank and rods, Wiseco Pistons, Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller, stock rocker arms that have been bushed, Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake, 850 Quickfuel carb, has an External single stage oil pump, Moroso Vacuum pump, GM front drive distributor set up, has a Mikes Trans power glide with an A-1 7" converter in it.. 4.33 gears and the dragster weighs 1360 lbs. with me in it.. The Headers are a Tri-Y set up that i came up with and had Greg Holman at REF Headers build, it has its own sound above 8000rpm!

I dynoed the engine at Bill Maropulos's shop, it made 520 on torque at 6500 rpm, and made 680 horsepower at 7700 rpm.. I two step it at 5200, shift at 7800, and goes thru the traps at 8100.. I'll post up the dyno sheet tomorrow for ya guys.. First LS I have done, all I can say is what a neat and good running engine!!

I built it just to bracket race, but i might do some super comp racing as well,
when i'm not running Top Dragster with my other SBC combo.. That one goes 6.80's at 194mph.. With a N/A 394" Small Block..

Thanks
DL

Actually it's a 15 degree Chevy 615X casting with one carb, and no spray.. Makes 932 hp @ 9200 and 630 ft.lbs at 7400.. I can say that it leaves hard with sixty foots between .980's to 1.01 on a 12x33 tire at 1455 lbs.

Here is a pic of the engine.

I have not tried running it with out the scoop, but i do know that a well known prostock guy i know told me that what the scoop picks up in power feeding the engine with air, it takes the same power to run thru the air at speed. Hope this helps.

Thanks

Are you running NHRA or IHRA top dragster? My uncle runs top sportsman in IHRA mostly PRO AM events and such and usually top dragster follows suit everywhere they run.
