Yea I'm running out of gear. Calculated I should be able to hit 144 on 26's with 3.70 gears. I was 7mph off.

As for the starting line, typical grudge event here in Indiana. Freaks a lot of people out, but it's the norm for the track I grew up on.

That thing is moving out for such a basic suspension setup. What torque converter you running (size and stall) and what trans?

Thanks for the response.

FTI LVL4.5 TH400 and FTI 9in 5200 rpm stall w/ mech diode. Honestly I need tightened up about 400RPM.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info. When you had the converter done what shot did you tell Greg to stall it for? How is the converter N/A?

Sorry for all the questions. I am about ready to wrap up my 383 LT1 build in my Camaro and also have an FTI converter but an 8"..not sure of the stall yet.

Thanks,
Matt

PS- you are only picking up 23 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4. I would think you would be closer to 28-30mph and be 142-145mph at the 1/4. Very impressive for only a 125 shot.

So I didn't talk to Greg when I got my converter. I believe it was Justin, and he'll walk you right through it all. We actually had a long conversation about quantity of spray, how often i'll spray the car, etc..... It was good. The converter NA isn't great, cuts 1.59 60's and leaves soft, but its as expected.

Funny you should mention the mph gap on the back half. I'm fighting some electrical gremlin that comes in about 5-6 seconds into my run and starts surging my nitrous system...But I have made some changes and just have to get back to the track. I'm hoping to pick up about 6-7mph and maybe that will put me about 9.29 in the 1/4. Ill be very happy if I can make those gains on such a small jet.

Thanks for the info! Good luck on the electrical gremlin and it will definitely pick up. I was thinking the mph loss was the converter so that was why I asked.

Shouldn't be the converter, it has a mechanical diode. And generally a surge wouldn't be the converter either, more delivery related. I did calculate my slip and it was only 6%

I havent scaled the car, but i should be about 3400lbs. And the heads are from GM performance parts, and they are the GM Performance Parts CNC LS3's.

Thanks, but the Induction Solutions plate can handle more than i'll put to the car. No need for direct port spray. I actually got the car down to 9.11 @ 146 on the single .72 jet. I'll step it up next season and see what happens.
