Did a few 1/8 mile passes to get used to the car and on the second pass i stood it up on the back bumper past the 60 ft mark with a 1.40 60' thats when i decided on the front end limiters. Took my license test two weeks ago just waiting for it in the mail. Some of you may have seen it at e town or atco as we've been racing it for about 10 years now.

If you dont pill up that NOS plate and hit the 8's you haven't really lived yet!
Nice to see another 3rd gen running fast.
P.S. I just checked out your sig and with more NOS you may want to tighten up that stall some. Your suspension is working pretty good right now but put any more than 200 to it and it's gonna stand up on you. Psst, speaking from experience.

Scott, dont plan on runnin more then 200 with that convertor. Stood it up on the bumper on its second pass out w/ a 1.40 60' on the back tires. Put some front end limiters on it and calmed it down a ton. 1.29 60's now.

Definetly some nice 60' times there, I have gotten a best of 1.30 with about 1' of air under my tires. How much does you car weigh with you in it?

3180 with me in it, still has all crash bumpers in it. My 1.29 60 was about the same only a foot or so of air under there. Got a 1.34 with about 3 foot of air but it feels like it wants to come up too far and i dont want to stand it on the bumper again (ok just once since nobody got a picture of it)

I'm recaging mine this season in chrome moly and a mini tub to bring in the rear tires so I can catch the big tires guys groove easier. I'll still be on stock suspension and hopeing for mid 8's on radials.

Over the winter i may put it on a diet, i would like to add a vacuum pump set up and a belt drive to it but funds are a little low. Dont want to go any faster than 8.50's with this car id rather build a tube chassis car, bbc, lenco....... ah who am i kiddin i dont have that kind of loot LOL. The stance is a little wide on our car too with the 29.5 x 10.5 phoniex but the car is soo tame that after i dialed it in with the limiters and the rear sway bar it drives like a caddy. No problems with it getting out of hand or out of the groove, i like to try to set the car up for no surprizes. I set the wheel base and alignment up (with my father in the drivers seat) perfect so the cars basically drives itself. When i tagged the bumper it dragged it perfectely from one side to the other and i set the car down on both front tires at the same time and excaped with out damage.

no it's certed to 7.50 till next year but it's the older sportsman tag. just regular upgraded stock suspension with old school subframe connectors. car is still all stock interior down to the seats with tilt wheel and power windows. and just a profiler head 565.
