Default Just for fun.....

I wanna see what you guys think my new motor will do. Its going into a 75 vette and should be in the car within a week or so.

383 stroker
scat rods and crank
dart pro 1 platnium heads 215cc intake runner
hydraulic roller cam .520Intake, .540 exhaust. 114 lobe sep
Je 8.5:1 pistons
harland sharp 1.5 roller rockers
edelbrock torker intake
procharger 12 rib d1 blower @ 13lbs boost
edelbrock performer nitrous system at 100hp shot
650 blow through carb

so what I want is your guys guess to what this ENGINE will make. I'm hoping for 500whp before the nitrous system. This is going into a 75 vette, and I'm hoping it will run low 12's high 11's on street tires.

I think you'll hit your ET goals, but I think you're going to fall a little short of 500 RWHP without the spray. The Torker intake isn't the best choice and the 650 carb is a bit small. Also, you didn't say if you're intercooled or not. It'll definately run good, but I'm going to guess around 550 HP at the flywheel and 470 or so at the wheels.

yes this will be intercooled. the reason for the 650 carb is bigger carbs on blowthrough tend to run a bit leaner on the top end so thats why I'm going with the 650. I thought about going 750 but I think the drivability would be an issue.

Well, a 383 can make 400 WHP+, so with 12 lbs, if the cam is right, you will hit you goal. The intake wont matter and the carb is the right choice for the blow thru setup.

Good luck with it, i think you are going to be anywhere from 480-520 at the tires depending on drive train loss.
