Default Th350 to 700r4 swap

I was wondering what all was involed in swapping my current tranny(th350) to a 700r4. I have a chance to get one from a 89 pickup pretty cheap and was wondering if it would be a pretty easy swap. I want to add a stall and some gears but would love to have that extra gear/overdrive for the highway.

Should be pretty much bolt in. I think the d/s is different length. And you need to hook up the TV cable.

If you have a long tail trans the 700 is a direct swap but the trans mount sits back about 1.5 to 2 inches further. Not hard to re drill another hole usually.

Not to mention though, the 700r wont handle the abuse a TH350 will.
