Carb 1986 L98
I doing a very budget L98 swap. Going carbed but Im hoping to do some budget stuff to make it worth the swap. So far I want to go with a RPM intake (under $100 used), a cam, not sure which one but leaning toward Speed Pro .436 lift and a .224 duration at .050 degrees Lobe centerline is less that 110 cam ($25 local) and some used 906 vortech heads (drilled for traditional 12 bolt intake manifold $230) and a free Holley 750 carb. How does this combo sound?

get the vortec-specific manifold, the parts are a different shape than a standard SBC. if you're using the vortecs, i'd get them machined and stuff for good springs, and run a roller cam in it.

hey Ray how are you man? long time no see my friend get xtreme energy 270 if you can find one with the rpm intake and 750 carb and vortec heads it will be great Im running lt4 hot cam,L98 aluminum heads performer rpm air gap intake and 750 mech. that was running very rich and still has amazing power
