Default I've got a few ?'s for a 350sbc set up

I haven't posted on here in a while, but I have a few questions. I have recently gotten rid of my camaro and have picked up an '86 c10. It has a 350 small block and th-350c trans.(lockup convertor and transgo shift kit) I was told the block came out of a 69 corvette. I am looking to build the motor to 400hp+. So here are my questions.

How can I verify that the block is indeed from a 69 vette? And if it is, is it a good block to start with? Motor does run very well, and it does have a Summit Racing 1103 cam and lifter set in it. Seems to move out decently. It is a 4-bolt main block as I have checked that out. Carb looks to be an Edelbrock Q-jet. Not sure on cfm, but I was looking at the Holley 670 street avenger as a replacement. Intake is an Edelbrock performer. Distributor is some old HEI.

What are your opinions on the lockup convertor type th-350's?

Also it has the factory 2.43 gears and a lame peg legged rear. What would be a good rear set up?

Are the numbers I'm looking for reasonable? And if so what would be a good Head/Cam combo? Anything over and beyond 400 horses would make me happy. I do not have a budget at this time but I guess I would like to keep it under $2k if at all possible. The truck will see track time in the future. Streetablity is NOT a concern.

Standard bore flat tops (Cheap ones!) a set of used 200ish cc heads a performer rpm manifold and a cam and lifter kit that is at home in a 6500rpm range with all your existing components should put you right in the 400hp neighborhood. I think that if I were trying to do the same I would be leaning towards that route. a 3000to 3400 converter would be a must. Its hard to do a whole package that performs together with 2000 dollars but it can be done. There are plenty of pickups out there that came with tow packages that have positive differentials and better gears than yours does. It could be cheaper to change the whole rear rather than rebuild yours. That's one good think about trucks is the come with multiple differential options.

I had the trick flow top end kit. They clamed it was worth 500hp and 450tq in a 9:1 383. I had this kit in a 10.5:1 383. In my 3850+lbs Nova. With just air shocks and 8" wide circle track slicks I ran 7.55 @91mph in the 1/8th. Still had more in it as I couldn't hook on those tires. Cam was very streetable and had a great sound. Oh and this was through full dual flowmasters and small 1 5/8 primary headers.

For a rear maybe a newer truck 12bolt. Will definitely need some gear in that thing. I ran 7.55s with 3.73s and a 26x8 slick. (Not very optimal in my car)

I ran a built 700r4 in my Nova with a 3400 stall with lockup. I drove this thing everywhere so I wanted the overdrive. You can swap a 200r4 in place of it as well. Built of course cause stock those Trans are ****.
