I started my Z28 before 1 week it sat over a year with almost empty gas tank I put my other engine 350ci and TH350 and when I filled 1/4 of the gas tank with new gasoline the tank smelled so bad and when I push the throttle the carb squirts light baige colored gasoline not pink reddish fuel anyways I started the car it runs but the engine shakes too much I adjusted the timing and the carb but it still shakes today I put 20 litres fuel I started the car and when the carb squirts pink reddish fuel it doesnt shake it runs good but it smokes little the smoke color was white it doesnt appear that much but it hurts my eyes is the smoke because of the bad gasoline? or the engine just been rebuilded with new gaskets and it should smoke first but then it will clear? it didnt run more than 20min after the rebuild

U need to let it run for awhile and break in then it should stop smoking unless there is something wrong.

i had 3 year old gas in my boat that still ran fine and also runs fine in my lawnmower, and the gas was discolored and partially separated.

you more than likely have carb problems from the gas sitting in that, you'll need to clean out the carb.

the carb and the whole engine is from my other car they were running fine no problems I had similiar problem before in my Camaro it was smoking real bad when I open the heads and toke them to a shop to get them milled they told me the heads needs new valves and valve guides but now with another engine it smokes little bit and the smoke hurts my eyes I think I should let the car run longer maybe the bad gas in tank will finish

ok I found out that the carb was dirty and there are two bolts that holds the bowl into the metering block are loose and when I tried to tighten them they are slipped so now I have to change the carb and when I drained the carb now it has pink reddish fuel

whats the gas color in your country? in my country its almost like VP 103 but with very bad octane

In the USA All the pump gas i have seen is clear or yellowish. Where are you located? If the gas at the pump is colored red then that makes a lot more sense.
Here the "farm" tax free diesel is dyed red so they can check if your running the right fuel in your truck.

Did you swap the carb yet? is it any better?
