So my Boss has an '89 Vette that has the oil pan drain plug stripped out from some monkey at an oil change place. So we ordered a replacement pan which for some odd reason didn't fit. The oil pickup tube kept hitting the baffles on the new pan. So we ordered a different replacement pan. Same problem. So then I get in touch with Wally at Corvette generation. I get him to send me a picture of an '89 oil pan just in case before we paid for it. And low and behold, it looks like a similar fit. Here's a picture comparison of all of the oil pans.




So, is it possible this engine is from a Camaro/Firebird? It's an all original car to his knowledge with no modifications or changes that's he's aware of. Any ideas?
