Default 1999 firebird

I bought a 99 firebird rolling chassis backin october and im just now getting around to this swap. The previous owner had it as his drag car set up for a 350/350 combo. It still has the v6 k member but he had some custom motor mounts fabbed up to accept the 350 engine and also a trans bracket for th350.There is no wiring harness either since he was running a carb.Recently i purshased a 87 & up gen 1 sbc.The cowl was already notched for the other motor. Since this guy was running a older model 350, will i have issues with the newer style block?I know the distributor sits way back against the firewall but i was wondering if the newer block has a taller distributor?

Looking at your brackets those are solid mount brackets they bolt directly to the block no mm inbetween

Thanks bro I appreciate your help. I talked to the guy that I bought the car from and that is what he told me also.

I want to paint my engine and motor mounts but they have rust on them. Will those rust converters work on the engine?
