Default Oil pan removal

I was changing my oil for the season a couple days ago and when I pulled out my magnetic drain plug there was a lock washer on it. Then as the oil flowed into the pan a small piece (1 or 2 inches) of my rubber oil pan gasket came out as well. I had the car running a couple weeks ago and sounded healthy and made the usual amount of oil pressure and isn't leaking anywhere.

I think the lock washer came off the oil pick up tube and the nut is in the pan. No idea how the gasket would've gotten damaged.

Any advice on how to remove the pan without removing the engine? I've done some reading that says if you lift the engine up 4 inches it is enough to clear the pan out.
