Wow, that's pretty impressive Outlaw! Those 275's do help a lot though, and albeit relatively narrow, still look awesome on the car. Now if only I could get that tuck with my 10.5w ET Drags lol

WOW! There are some big dogs up in here. I am planning on building a 3rd gen with a 355 with Vortec heads, aluminum carb intake and a 200 shot plate kit through a TH350. Just for kicks budget allowing. I already have a motor and trans. They all need to be rebuilt but hey.

Talking

Someone needs to do a radical sbc setup! Something radical and fuel injected!! Something rare! A motor like this in a 4th gen would be cool. Someone on this board should do this this winter and keep us posted with installation tips! Wouldn't that be a good idea! I wish I could think of someone that would do this.

Geeeeeeeee..........i wonder who you could be referring to Scott?!?!?!?!?!?! lol. ssshhhh, i'm trying to keep the specs under wraps. but really, thanks. i keep forgetting the details of this beast. i guess i should start to memorize them because i'm working on something right now that could have it completely paid for in the next few weeks, tops!!! don't qoute me on that as ANYTHING can happen! for instance, i just wrecked my wifes minivan 3 days ago on my way home from work i'm in a little hot water for that one. but it's looking pretty good as i believe i just found a buyer for the 9" i just put together the other day. just want to make sure i have the $$$$.

later all,
Dave

My SBC project is a 93 S10 with a 350. Comp 288 roller cam, Trick Flow G2 heads, 750 carb, Holley intake, 700 trans with Midwest 3000 stall, 3.73 rear, its a long list. Trapped as well as 115-116, but couldnt get the 60 fts down, so only ran a 12.7. Might be kicking it to the curb now though and throwing miney at my new truck.

Bickle, would love to but car isn't together yet. Bought the car with the built engine and a t-trim. Fixed some problems, had the AFR's it came with ported, and got a cam better suited to boost. YSi was a last minute upgrade simply for expansion capabilities. Won't push the blower hard with this setup, shortblock probably won't take it. I wanna touch 9's with this engine, and if/when it goes will probably throw in a BBC with the YSi and see what those two will do with 94 octane.

Car is just a toy, it's not designed to race in any certain class or anything. Just wanted a good combo that is fast and grabs attention. Will still cruise it on the weekend and go to shows and such, but it's gotten beyond the point of a legitimate street car.

72 nova... 355 with forged internals.... has run an 11.17 @ 118 on a 150 shot with a small flat tappet cam.... ready to up the compression to 13 to 1 or so with a .690 solid roller and a 5000 or so stall... I'm 18 and this was my first car.... when i got it, it had nothin in it, for awhile it rode with a worn out 305 and 4.56's, now its becoming a drag project.

72chevy2..........my mph seems to be about 5-6 mph slow for that et. i'm no expert, and maybe someone else might be able to chime in, but depending on you gears, it sounds like you may want to step down a little to get your mph up and perhaps a little off your et too?! what gears do you have now?

Dave

4.11's with a 4k stall.... it goes 1.50 60' and 7.0 at 97-8 or so in the 1/8th, im not to worried about how it runs now because a lot of things are about to change..... i have 3.73's that were in the car when it ran n/a, and then it ran 11.90's at 110, i think with the cam and pistons i have, the motor isn't gaining much off the nitrous... 340whp/ 390tq through a th350 and 4k stall with a 12bolt n/a and i've never dyno'd on nitrous

My on-going 8-year project is my 1970 Nova. Started with a 307/glide that ran a screeching 17.07 at 80 mph, 1st motor swap was a 355 that got down to an 11.88 @ 111 mph. Current combo is:
383 stroker (actual displacement 388)
Eagle crank and SIR rods
Milodon oil pan and pump
Canfield 195cc heads (unmodified)
Crane solid cam
Edelbrock Victor Jr intake (unmodified)
750 Holley dp hp carb (unmodified)
Hedman headers 1-3/4 headers
Flowmaster american musclecar 3" exhaust system with tailpipes.
Turbo 350 trans with J.W. 3400 stall 10" convertor
12 bolt with Strange 33 spline spool, axles and c-clip eliminators; Richmond 3.73 gears
11:1 compression-pump gas motor. Dyno'd 372 rwhp/492 rwtq.
Driven about 200-300 miles a month, raced 2-3 times a month.
Times and link to pictures are in sig. Car weight with driver ~ 3500 lbs.

Think that's it......

Derek
