(I already had a good shortblock) plan on brodix alum heads, solid roller cam, roller lifters, dart ported intake manifold, 4150 style holly carb, msd ignition basically all old leftover circle track motor parts we have where I work. Just want to make something that is really fun to drive

On The Tree
The car after we pulled the engine and transmission. Along with other various parts
The car after the mild restoration
The 3.8 liter V-6 that kicked out a whopping 105 horsepower. Had some 0-60 times of around 17 seconds. It was depressing that literally every single car on the road was faster. It did however get 17 mpg city/hwy combined.
well that had to go
Quarter million miles will do this to an engine bay
The SBC that needed some TLC
After that TLC
Made sure the bottom end could handle the nitrous I will be throwing at it
Did some cleaning and painting to the engine bay
This was a good day
Finally set place
Putting more pieces together

All up and running
Video of her running
I still need to build a rear end for her and buy a fiberglass hood. With a new house and baby. The car stuff has come to a grinding halt
Sorry about the long post. Just a little bored here at work

496 71 Trans Am
working on dropping a 565 HP 496 mild BB chevy in to my "mutt" 71 trans am
car currently has a 455 (non number matching) and a 5 speed tremec trans with the 80 disk brake 10 bolt rear
like to someday redo the 496 with a twin turbo setup using the OBX manifolds, and a megasquirt EFI.
also looking to drop the 455 into another 71 trans am I have which currently has a relatively weak 400 in it.
need to scrounge up a bunch of small parts for the BB chevy, flywheel, ps pump and alt brackets, pulleys, headers, motor mounts, ect.....
for now, I'll just be croozin the 71
the other 71 TA with the 400 is for sale. if anyone is interested I'll post up some pics.
too many projects all at once, need to get a few of them DONE

89 mustang lx hatchback w/gen1 sbc and 700r4 tranny. stock suspension, AJE k member. nothing fancy..just a weekend toy.
engine: 355 rebuild, stock crank, flat top pistons with valve reliefs, stock cam, milled 305 HO heads, edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 600 cfm carb, b&m Hammer shifter, 3.73s
OLD SETUP: 306 HO w/forged pistons, stock crank and rods, STF1 cam, crane cams energized 1.7 roller rockers, stock springs, highly ported e7 heads and milled, 600 cfm edelbrock, edelbrock RPM performer intake, 3.73s, T5 with rebuilt to z-specs, stock suspension, stock replacement aluminum radiator, efans, smaller underdrive pulley...best time 14.2 in 1/4 mile.
before the pony wheel swap
after the pony wheel swap
ran into clearance issues with stock k member... new AJE k member was ordered. will post new pics once i receive it. photucket only allowed me to enter 1 image. it wouldn't let me copy image location for any other photos.
Got my k member last night and shifter. waiting to install it.
only thing I didn't like was that it didn't come with new mounting hardware (NEW BOLTS)

Scored Crank Journal
Hello, Im new here and don't have any idea how to post my own stuff. So I'm starting here. I recently bought a 90's small block 350 (which I will post pictures/info of whenever I figure out how) with a good set of older heads on it. The engine spun a rod bearing and scored the crank a bit. It would be simple to take it to the machine shop and have it turned I know, but that costs money. Is there any way to smooth up the journal a bit and go forward with the rebuild? I know it would be a dumb idea to leave it how it is and throw it back together, thats not what Im trying to say. I just want to know if there's any way to make it useable without having it turned. Its not tore up too bad. Just some scratches where the bearings were and a small indentation cut down the middle of the journal between the two bearings.

Hi I race in a street legal street race it is a 1/8 mile I'm running a 12 to 1 383 with a gen one it does real well. But lost one race last year to a mustang that was bad fast. I cant run my nitrous in this event but can run a boosted motor was thanking of running one 88 turbo with twenty pounds of boost and vp116 fuel. Need help with parts list for turbo set up on a budget, especially the exhaust manifold cant seem to find a reasonable one, also need to know what boost controller is needed running msd 6 digital ignition. with a built in retard was thanking msd boost controller might work to back timing of under boost. The engine put out around 600 hp on motor with a cheater plate system. I'm running all forged parts with iron eagle platinum heads.

86 Iroc-Z BBC Conversion
I started out with a bone stock 86 Camaro that I wanted to convert to a Pro-Street with a BBC
I convert the front end with rack and pinion, 2" dropped spindles, and tubular K-Member and A-arms, still had the factory 305 at this point
I had the car back halfed with 4 link and coil overs and roll bar
I built a 565 BBC, dynoed at 900 hp naturally aspirated on 91 octance pump gas by ABS Competition ent with a modified t-56 magnum Level 6 by RPM transmissions
Just have to do the exhaust, and decided to put wheelie bars on it for show, to complete the Pro-Street look
Click on the picture below and you can hear the motor run

383 stroker 1st gen SBC
I have a 94 z28 and am finally about finisbed with my project.... its a 385 stroker (383).. it has .40 over pistons.. almost finished with it. Mating it to an lt1 t56... only problem is its an early model block (1975ish)... which is a 2 piece rear main seal... lt1 is a 1 piece rear main seal.. didnt think of that so i found the lt1 flywheel obviously wont plug-and-play... only option here is an aftermarket flywheel (p/n 2555 [ram]).. for those of you looking! So after i get that ill have pics up of it!
Note: if you have later model sbc (1986+), then flywheel will fit no problem.

1983 c10
Started life as a gutless 6.2 diesel has a healthy 402 and decent cam, new performer 2.0 intake and ported heads and custom headers are still being fabricated
Not much to look at built custom sheet metal hood scoops for ram air and I'm planning on putting a trans brake in the built th350
Pretty fun to build this up. It was my first pickup I bought when I was 14 and I just turned 17 been working on it for about a year now. Hope it turns out to be a beast I'm very proud of what I've accomplished with it.

88 Pontiac hardtop gta with digital dash. Motor is a zz4 shortblock, p/p trickflow 195 heads, ported miniram intake, lt4 hotcam with 1.6 rockers, 32lb injectors, hooker longtubes, 52mm tb, 3" y-pipe, 4" exhaust, circle d 3200 stall, built 700r4, strange 12 bolt, 3.73 gears, 7730 ecm swap. Compression is around 10 to 1, wish it was higher. Made 375 rwhp and 354 rwtq on a dynojet. About to fab up a 4" cold air setup and go to a 58mm tb.
Update, 7.86 at 89 mph on a 1.7 60 foot. Car weight was roughly 3850 with driver and that is with the 4" cold air and 58mm tb.
