Default 1972 400 sbc t56 swap flywheel question

im looking to put a 97 t56 behind my 13.5.1 compression 406 motor. the motor is a pre 86 two piece main seal block. im just asking if anyone knows of a flywheel i can use for the conversion. cause the 168 flywheel i tried using hits the bottom half of the bellhousing. if anyone has done this swap. give me a holler

thanks

joe

I'm sure you already know this, but you should be sure you get a flywheel for a 400 because it is externally balanced (on the harmonic balancer and the flywheel), as opposed to internally balanced like a 350, 327, 307, etc.

Centerforce part number#700173

As long as your engine is still external balance, it is the one you need Joe.

Just to let everyone know, this will NOT work. The bolt pattern is larger on the 2 piece RMS than it is on the 1 piece cranks.
