350 ignition operation?

350 ignition operation? Am in the process of restoring a 1940 Dodge step side pick up & have found a Chevy 350 motor/ 3 speed transmission combo to use in it. Are there any basic write ups on carb adjusting & ignition wiring set ups? Have only experience with PCM type ignitions with EFI & need to learn about distributor/carb set ups. Thank-you.
