MY first car at 16 was a 81 Z28,I wrecked it after only 6mo of ownwership(totaled). I still miss that car and it's been 15 years. I think youv'e got a sweet ride, and I love the wheels.

Your car looks pristine. I don't ever see that body style anymore, and if you do it is usually a bucket. Nice ride!

Looks GREAT!

I've got a ton of work to do on mine before I can even think about daily driving it again. Interior, paint & body, and yank the ST-10 and stick a T56 in there. It's gonna take me at least another year or two... I've got the glass out of it, am going to be replacing the doors, stripping the paint, rust repair here and there... but the frame is solid and the suspension is completely rebuilt.

How did you do the T56? Buy the retrofit version, use an LT1 unit, use an LS1 unit with McLeod bellhousing, or...? I'm going to be using an LS1 unit.

Very nice, like the bullet wheels too! We see a good # of 1st gens around my workplace, but good to see a nicely done late 2nd gen!

I used an LT1 unit, centerforce clutch, lots of info on the swap at www.nastyz28.com
