Default Cam help for daily driver 305 TPI car

Its my bro-in-laws 86 Monte Carlo SS work in progress but almost done. He is using the 5.0L H.O. that cam w/ the monte but got a 5.0 TPI unit from a mid-late 80's f-body. His mods will be cold air induction(maybe dual snorkel), Heddman 1 5/8s LTs into 2.5-3in H or Xpipe w/ turndowns, gonna port the upper and lower intake, port the TB to 52mm, & use other usual bolt-ons, etc etc. He already has a built A4 w/ 2200 or 2400 stall running 3.42 gears with stock 86 Monte SS rear which is a 7.5in or 7.62in i believe. Question is what would be a good worthwhile cam for this TPI setup that'll make great power & still retain good street manners and good MPG? Its gonna be a daily driver but he's looking to make around 240-250hp at the crank(w/ stock heads) on N/A bolt-on/cammed TPI motor & hit solid 14.7s in the 1/4 mile and about 275hp at the crank N/A with good heads as he'll also be having the heads ported along w/ a little bit bigger valves in the near future & hope for mid- low 14s and possibly a small shot of gas like 50-75hp hoping for solid 13s. Any suggestions for cam only setup? suggestions for H/C nitrous setup???? Are these power numbers and ETs possible(its a 4k pound car i think) with the above mentioned mods and a mild street cam for TPI???? Thanks folks

Do you plan on doing an computer modifications? If not I would look at some crane compu cams. They seem to work well with the stock pcm/ecu.

When i was still running the 305 in the Trans Am, I thourougly considered running the cc304 cam. Its a 210/220 114 cam. Would be a nice cam in a 305, especially w/ the mods. My setup was going to be fairly similar. Stay around that duration though... not much bigger in the 305
