Default What motor do I have?

I have a 84 k10 with what I think is a 305 (well that was the stock motor) The motor has center bolt valve covers which makes me think its a 87 or later. Where are the casting numbers on the block? I want to swap the cam and don't have a clue if its a roller or flat tappet. Block is stamped "GM 5.0 LG"

roller cam or flat tappet?

Casting number is on the flange where the trans bolts to. Behind the left head.

The numbers stamped on the block deck in front of the passenger head may also be useful if you can get them. They won't be a substitute for the casting numbers, but could provide additional detail.
