Unhappy ~~can't start my 96 lt1 need help please //////////

It started fine yesturday drove it normal and the next day i tried to start it and it wouldn't start i heard the fuel pump turning off and on (each time i try to start) and smelled gas i know it can't be the fuel pump so i thought it could be something electric its raining and my car is always outside.it trys to start i hear it cranking like it wants to. I also tried a jump start and NOTHING!
please if anybody could help i'd appreiate it.

Sounds like your opti may have taken a dump.

try the ignition module on the head, mine went out twice with no warning..

I'ma try the control module... i'm not sure if auto zone/kragens could check them if there good or not, but if its not that then it could be the opti.

i'm new on this... dam i tried an used control module but nothing what if i tired taking one of the spark plug wires and put a philips in there while i start it (if it doesnt spark) would that tell me its my opti or not **** im tired of ridin my bike to work haha knowing my car is my daily driver

you clicked on small block & big block chevy specific. the one you were looking for is the link above it. LT1-LT4 specific.

Check for spark at the plug. That will tell you if the Optispark or coil is bad. If both are good and your smelling a lot of gas it may be dumping gas in the motor, Bad diaphram on the fuel pressure regulator or, less likely a stuck injector. I have had 2 regulators go out on Camaros last year.
