Sounds like a fun project. I would go with the 650 mighty demon though. 750 will be overkill. I know from experience. Lets see some pics!

Keep me informed. I've been watching your progress anyway. I've checked your cardomain a few times. Its too bad about them 292 Turbo castings. I seen all the crap you were catching about them not being that good. Ive seen 292's flow OVER 290cfm. Most guys on here just have NO CLUE! I'd love to see a vortec flow that. It could be done, but WHO is gonna do that.

a 650 mighty demon will still be overkill. you would be better off with a speed demon 600 or 650, call up barrygrant /demon and tell them what you have and what your intentions are. i bet they will say the 650 speed demon since the mighty demon hase different venturi, boosters, jetting etc

Some dont understand they are not stock, have you ever picked one of those up? Holy he;; they are heavy, they have so much casting to them. I wish i could flow test them but it would be for nothing now.

The 400 was THAT MUCH FASTER!????
What was the compression of the 355ci? Maybe I need a 383ci or a 406ci then....Damn! Thats quite a bit more than I thought. I am hoping to trap at least 110mph....I "Think" it could go 113 or so if I take out a little weight and all goes well. If all goes well at 3450 I think it could go 111-112 ish....This realistically where I hope to be....What do ya think???

well it still had the 3.42's which hurt alot and it was about 10.1 ,I just wanted the car running and driving i was a bit disappointed also,

there was a 86 iroc with a 355 ,self ported vortecs,4.10's , rpm intake,compXE274,700r4 that went lo 12's@ around 110, his combo was better matched than mine

im tryin the Procomp Blue pump. 60 bucks shipped to my door with regulator off ebay. Wysco billet distributor...60 bucks to my door. We'll see how this junk runs. I expect to dick with timing springs and weights but it all work out for little money if neither the distributor nor the pump take a ****. All new stuff. I only have 2300 invested in all of it including ALL of my my little parts so far. I dont need to spend but another 500 TOPS and I think thats stetching A LOT. Less than about 4500-5000 bucks for a car that WILL run elevens no problem after ported heads are finished and a GForce gear set and an 8.8 hybrid rear with probably a 4.30 gear.

Sweet man, i ordered the pro comp "black" pump, still waiting on it(slow shipping ****** f...) and i can only hope it is a decent part, i have a real holley blue but i thought,"Hell, for that price, i need the nextra fuel now." I will deffinatly be running my fuel pressure gauge up to the winshield of the car under the cowl to monitor pressure.
