Default lt1 or 4 vs vortec heads

Ok guys I'm about to build a 355, stock bottom end its going in a 83 monte

#1.) I'm wanting to get some good numbers out of a "stock" head
Do you recommend the lt1 or 4 alum heads? or the cast vortec
Keep in mind that I will have new springs on either and a full P&P w/ intake to match. I'm going w/ a CCA-CL12-212-2 (summit) 280/480 comp cam set up and an Edelbrock performer intake

Long tubes/ 1 chamber 10 series flowmasters (2 1/2) 3:42's
Stock HEI vac adv w/ a 650 holley 4150
Maybe no2 ... if I do that it will be around a 150 shot... nothing nutz

With the money your going to spend making the LT1 heads fit your gen 1 block you could just get the GMPP aluminum vortec heads and do a hell of a P&P.
