Default your opinions on the motor i had built....68 SS

ok i have a pretty good looking 68 camaro and wanted to put a decently strong small block in it so i decided to have a stroker motor built..... its a 388ci stroker and i used all 4340 forged internals crank rods and pistons and ordered new dart pro 1 platinum heads and had them machined to flow a little better.... mild PNP job basicly, nothing crazy! also running 1.6 rockers with a lunati voodoo 233/241 504/525 cam 2,200-6,400 range..... also used a victor jr intake and had about 5 hours of cleaning up done to it by a professional.....its got a new 700cfm double pumper holley with a fresh new TCI T350 tranny and a TCI 2,500 stall with 12 bolt 373 gears....... its also got 1 3/4 longtube headers with a full exaust of course and a march billet pully setup with no power steering......just alt, crank, and water pump running..... its also around 11.1 compression ratio...... but i was wondering what you guys think this thing is gonna be pumping out or how well its gonna run? im normally a LT1 LS1 guy...... with good tires i dont see why i couldnt get it to run a 7.50 in the 8th mile and be alot of fun on the street too..... i didnt get a drag strip stall converter cause its more of a street car..... let me know what you guys think and how well my cam and head combo work..... i think they were the 200s for the darts.... jake

thats kinda what i was thinking too.....but are you talking on an engine dyno or the rollers? and at the same time its not always about the hp but i think its fun putting together a combo and seeing how well everything works together and how well it performs.....cause in the end you have to be able to plant the power to the ground but once you have mastered that......more power is better in my opinion

some things i forgot to mention where a digital 6 with pro billet MSD distributor and i plan on spraying a small shot of gas for fun or maybe the occasional small money race...... i dont race for money really and if i do it wont be over $100 cause i think it takes all the fun from this stuff!

damn dude the truck you have was my first car i ever owned in my life..... my dad bought it brand new in 1986, it was short bed regular cab 2wheel drive..... it came with a 305 of course and wasnt very fast but i had plans of dropping a 350 in it, lowering it a little and putting a nice looking 17 polished aluminum wheel and wanted to make it a SS looking truck...... my dumb *** freind of a freind kept asking me if he could take to the store when i was sleeping and iw as getting agrivated so i just said take it but be carefull....... needless to say he flipped it not even 5 minutes up the road....... it was 1995 and the truck still only had 60,000 miles on it almost 10 years later plus it was bought new by my father and im really big about things being handed down to my by family members..... i learned a big lesson at a young age that day! plus they could have been killed since it filled about 5 times cause he was doing about 80mph and you know how those things float when you get going a lil fast! it was baby blue kinda like the kansas city royals color..... jake

I think it'll suffer from the converter. 1.6rr's and a 233 cam is gonna be a problem with just a 2500 stall speed. I got an old 86 4x4 with a TCI 2600 STALL 35" TIRES AND 3.73 GEAR AND I WISH THAT I had more stall with just a 219/229 cam. The stall may get you by but I feel like it'll be your limiting factor. Not being mean but just what I think will end up happening. Ya feel me dogg?
