Default 350 rebuild or crate motor??

OK, here's the thing. I have a old 350 block with stock heads and that's about as far as it goes. I will need cam/lefters, intake, headers, carb etc. I'm only looking for about 300-330 hp, but wanting to do this on a tight budget. Any help will be much appreciated.

Exactly, if you dont know **** about building? Buy a crate, if you can do everything but machine work, build it yourself if you have the time and know how.
