Default HOW to connect the PCV?

Hi,

where do I have to connect the PCV, and what is it for?

I read, that I have to connect to PCV port of my EDE 1406 to a PCV valve in the valve cover.
But in my valve cover is something which has no connection for a rubber. Is this a PCV valve?
If yes where do I have to vonnect my PCV port? Or do I need a new valve?
What is the sense of the valve? When I have preasure in my valve cover, to release it into the carb? If yes ist a filter after the valve not enough? CanI plug the PCV port?

An other question:

Do I have to connect the manifold vacuum directly to my HEI?
Do I have to connect the timed vacuum? (My car has no emission control)

Default

just plug it off and put a baffle in the valve cover to release the pressure from the top of the cylinder head...... i think its just used to warm up the air to get the car up to running temp but i dont know many people that run it
