Default New motor sound clip

Well, it is done. I am happy with it with the exception of timing, i might not run a vacuum advance, it makes it detonate if i have the timing up where it likes it during normal operation. We will see.

Enjoy.

I think from pilling the intake a couple of times something or things is pulled into the pickup.

Straight pipe all the way out the back, it has a custom Y you can see under there to retain the dual exits.Glad you like it!

Well, there was RTV in the pickup, not tons of it but several small pieces. I hope that was the issue, i have the new pump in, pan back on and K member back up. Tomorrow ill button everything back together and see what happens.

Well, it still does it, even swapped the oil pressure gauge just in case. Not AS bad but still does it, i cranked the rev limiter up and ran it to 6600 RPM to see what would happen, nothing. So, i am just going to drive it till it blows up. F it.

Nice outlook on your new motor! How much oil pressure do you have at idle and with some rpm in her?

I am talking **** because i am just tired of messing with it, i just wanna drive it. But, it has 45 lbs at idle, at 2500 RPM it has 60-70, then any higher it starts falling off with the more RPM it gets.

If it gets worse as rpm increases, it sounds like you could be sucking the pan dry.......lemme guess---high volume oil pump & a 5qt pan?

Yea, but now it is a std volume pump and a 5 qt pan with an extra quart, this problem ocurred later on, not right away, it would have been from day one.

Do Not run extra oil in the pan... Stock pan try running 4.5 to 5 qt. of oil with a filter change. Did you check the oil pump pick up to pan clearance?
