Who in Eastern OK/Western AR does LS1 Machining?
Hey guys,
I recently blew out an oil ring on my LS1 and have the thing tore down, wanting to get a hone to 3.905 to clean things up...thing is...NO ONE AROUND HERE HAS HEARD OF FREAKIN' LS1's!!!! it is driving me crazy...all of the machine shops in Fort Smith, AR and Eastern OK are like, "Well, I'll just take it 0.030" over for you and that should be fine"....I tell them you can't because of the sleeves and they are like "Sleeves? Its a 350 right?" AHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Anyways...any help is appreciated. I'm located in Muldrow, OK, right on the border of OK and AR midway up the state.
Thanks,
Cody B.

Cool...I'll have to check them out John.
Do you know if they have a torque plate for an LS1? Those seem to be hard to come by as well...
I'll give them a call though.
Thanks for the info.

Sweetens is going to build my motor when I get around too it. He's had the core sitting there for a while. I'm not sure if he knows how much you can bore the ls1's off the top of his head, but he usually hasall the information around there somewhere. I'm thinking it is only .005 to clean them up. Just talk to Shawn and he will take care of you.
