I wish they would open it back up because i am tired of driving to shreveport to race. I don't have an f body but i do like them. I know a couple of those MadTunes Guys myself.

Yeah the MadTunes Racing crew is mostly my family so I have a reason to go to Monroe but there are no tracks in central Arkansas and Prescott is almost as far as Monroe. I've never been to Shreveports track but Prescott is top notch. A guy that went to school with me's parents own it and really made it nice.

I'm probably going to make a few more visits to Shreveport this year but I live in Oak Grove and really hate the haul.

What cam are you going with for the stroker? Are you going to stay with the TFS 215s?

I think I talked to you a couple of times there. You have the really clean blue SS with some nice red suspension upgrades visible from the rear You didn't make it out much last year though (I ran every Saturday event) but I saw you more often a couple years back.

Not sure what the cam specs are yet. Staying with 215s but he will doing some port work and swapping the 2.04 intake valves for 2.08s.

We will have to run when you get it back. I built an iron block 404 with tfs 225cc heads ported by TEA, yella terras, FAST 102/102, custom pat g cam (on the milder side), 1 7/8" Texas-Speed headers, LS7 lifters, and all the supporting stuff. I also bought a performabuilt level 2 with a TCI 3500 stall. I went 11.2 on a shakedown pass in pretty bad air with the 3.23 gears in full street trim. I'm expecting some high 10s this fall and then spray about 150 and see what happens. Currently waiting to install a 12 bolt with 3.73s.

What kind of 60' did you get on the h/c setup and what rear end and gear combo are you using? What compression for your new build? (I went with 11.1) I wish I would have bought the LS2 Block instead of going iron block.

Here's my truck against Bobby Pardue's 2010 camaro at Twin City:

This is my stock internal transam with spray against a Z06 vette on street tires:

Here's one of my friend Jimmy Hitt's TransAm running David underwood (also a rematch of my truck and the 2010 camaro... Bobby cut a .200 light after I finished in front of him the first time heh heh):

And one more of Neal Tyson's Silverado SS with headers and stall:

My cam only setup went 11.92 last July but I never ran it in nice air. I think it was capable of an 11.7 based on running Jimmy Hitt's H/C TransAm. (I made an 11.6 pass in Jimmy's car last October on skinnies and it alway ran pretty much identical to my car throughout the season).

Not sure on the compression ratio yet, they just started ordering everything Monday.

I'm really interested to see how your setup works for you. I almost want to wait on ordering my rear end to see how you like the 3.42s with the new motor. I was considering 3.42s myself but after I bought my M6 Z28 I started thinking a bit more towards quarter mile performance with my transam. I will not make it a drag car but I'll probably put some lower gears in it for a bit more trap speed. The 3.23 gears seemed to give nice trap speed in the 1/8 mile but would fall off a bit in the quarter compared to my friend's transam with 3.73 gears. With my cam only setup, I would have about 1 mph on him in the 1/8 and he would end up getting 2 mph on me at the finish line (although we would et the same). I'm thinking that the 3.73s might put me in the sweet spot in 3rd gear at about the 1000' mark. Let me know when you get the car back and we can run over to Shreveport for some test and tuning. I know Bubba's ready to shoot that mustang with a 125 shot and would probably want to come along. Another one of our friends (Kent Boddie) has a GT 500 that is making over 600 to the tires and would probably also be up for a cruise to Red River.
