RockTenn is currently recruiting for a Procurement Analyst Capital Converting position that reports to the Sr Category Manager Capital Converting based in our Home Office, offsite location in Duluth, GA. This individual will be responsible for contract administration and purchase order placement related to capital projects, large equipment, and contractor services across the Rocktenn Converting locations. Provide direction to corporate and plant purchasing personnel. Engage in supplier relationships (OEM and other) in multi-plant environment for converting capital and contractor services.
Responsibilities:
• Analytical/Procurement functional support for all capital purchases across the RockTenn converting locations.
• Manage data gathering effort from internal and external data sources, cleanse and normalize data, and compile.
• Work as a resource in the strategic sourcing and planning process for capital purchases, OEM programs, and contractor services. Including RFP, supplier award, project tracking to approved capital budget, reporting, progress payments process, final project summary, and project wrap up.
• Utilize procurement system technologies to reduce the total cost of capital purchases and services.
• Facilitate, track, and report all capital purchase timelines to coincide with expected deadlines.
Position Requirements/Skills & Abilities:
• 3+ years job-related work experience in capital project purchasing.
• 3+ years analyst experience, preferably in a matrix organization. Excellent analytical, mathematical and computer skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
• Prior experience with:

• Capital Purchasing • Project Management
• Contract Management • Budget Tracking & Forecasting
• Project Management • Policies Procedure & Design
• Reporting / Documentation • Savings Tracking

• Experience preparing executive summaries to leadership stakeholders and end-users.
• Technology savvy; advanced knowledge and use of procurement and project management tools including ERP systems
• Motivated and solid work ethic with the ability to visualize both at the micro and macro level

Education / Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, supply-chain, or logistics.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office (Project, Visio, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Prior experience with Corrugated / Folding carton equipment, application, environment, and maintenance.
