Default 2015 wannaGOFAST Georgia in September Recap - Pictures/Video/Results

Another wannaGOFAST 1/2 mile event is in the books! At Vengeance Racing, 1/2 mile events are a big part of our racing schedule throughout the year. The crew at wannaGOFAST are the best in the business and they stacked us up with 5 opportunities to race this year. The September event at Heaven's Landing has been a favorite of ours since 2012. With this event so close to home, it is our chance to go racing with over 40 of our customers at once. 1/2 mile racing allows for a great atmosphere to hangout and see what our cars are really capable of. In usual fashion...the weekend did not disappoint.

Unlike some of the other events this year, weather was not an issue. We got in two solid days of racing with partly cloudy skies. You really can't ask for anything better than that. We arrived at the track on Friday and setup in our usual corner. We had over 40 customer cars race over the course of the weekend! We woke up bright and early the next morning ready to go 1/2 mile racing. Saturday ended up being a great day. It was incredibly busy with all of the customer cars we had racing but we got in a full day and some great runs.

Eddie took home top honors in the sponsor NA category with a 172.67mph pass.

Randy Hunter's TT C6Z ran a solid 193.96mph.

Brian Landfriend's CTS-V couple took the Heavyweight Sponsor class and a personal best with a 176.05mph run.

John's ZL1 Camaro pulled off a 166.29mph run to take home the heavyweight privateer class.

Wayne Hale took home the fastest privateer NA with a 161.29mph run.

With the great results we had on Saturday, we woke up Sunday ready for more race action. The day was turning out to be just as great as the last so we started prepping the cars. We had another awesome day of racing with some more results to go along with it.

Michael Kelly won the heavyweight sponsor class with a personal best run of 160.14mph.

Robb Sutton ran a CTS-V/LSA world record 176.74mph pass to take home the fastest sponsor 4 door class.

Eddie's C5Z06 won the NA class again with a 173.47mph run.

Matt Olson's matte black CTS-V ran a 165.56mph run to take home the 4 door privateer class.

At the end of the weekend, we brought home 8 class wins.

The 991 Turbo did well on the new nitrous setup with a best of 169.17mph.

A huge thank you to all of our customers for a great weekend. You guys and your support make our company what it is today and weekends like this really reminds us how much we love what we do. We also want to give a huge thanks to Blake and his team at wannaGOFAST for putting on an awesome event. If you have not been to one of these before, you really need to put it on your bucket list. These guys put on the best 1/2 mile racing in the country.

Next stop is Sulphur Springs on November 14th and 15th! See you guys out there.
