North Carolina members, I need some help$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I am running really rich, throwing flames out of my exhaust. I need someone with HP tuners or ls1 edit to give me a tune for some $$$$$$$. There are no LS1 shops around me and besides that I really don't have the funds for a 450.00 dyno tune. I also do not have a lap top for the editing programs.
If you look in my sig you will see that I have 28.8 pound injectors which I originally had 26.4, to let everyone know right now the problem started before I installed the injectors. Had I known I was running rich in the first place I would not have put them in. I never knew it was throwing flames untill the other day. I was told it was popping, which is all I thought it was doing, due to an exhaust leak or a broken baffle in the muffler so i went with a new exhaust set up and had everything welded. Well needless to say that was not the problem. I found the problem while recording a sound clip for my new exhaust. Which is a custom magnaflow set up not the regular cat back.
I used the smaller 5"x8"x14" muffler which is what they use on the V6 catback to make it loud. They use a 5"x8"x18" and of course the smaller the louder! Here is what it sounds like and a vid of the fire *****, You have to right click and save as.http://www.angelfire.com/ult/insayne...s/100_4624.MOV
TIA,
Shane

In order to use HP tuners you have to have the same car (a camaro/firebird, either v6 or v8) and the same year. So if your car is a 2001 Camaro LS1, you need to find someone with HP tuner that has it for a 2001 Camaro/Firebird LS1.

Yes it is. But if you have a decently modded car it's worth it. The only thing I had when I got mine tuned was QTP longtubes, GMMG exhaust, and an airlid. I picked up about 15 hp from non-tune to tuned. I maybed picked up 10 tq from non-tune to tune as well. So it would help regardless of if you had this problem.
