Not worth a damn..... I think it's the Commerce curse.
Can't 60' this car there unless it's the weekend OF/AFTER a points race Played w/tire pressures each pass.... nadda. Think maybe I was gettin' the tires hotter than the launch pad surface. Never seemed to get a stiff hook much less a dead hook. Leaning towards the ET Streets being "done".

Sure wish someone would show them that VHT works on an off night the same as it does on any given event day...... and it's OK to USE it.

Don't wanna talk about the ET either (see 60' for an idea )

Will say the mph was there.... only thing that kept it in perspective is that my pig heavy 3750 # RW went 120.12mph. How 'bout that.... to break 120 on motor at Commerce in the heat/humidity gives one hope Thing is... same car went 11.57@122 on motor there last Spring, and 11.44@124 at SDR earlier in the year w/the LS6 intake/STOCK ported TB. Wouldv'e thought the 90/90 combo would do BETTER than it did.

Got to meet a few new folks and talk to Steve for a bit..... (even called Steve "Ken" for the first 20 minutes Guess I was temporarily "confused"

Gonna try a few things different next weekend.... new 28" ET Drag Radials and a digital thermometer are on the way.... gonna play w/tire pressures and track temps a bit and work burnouts accordingly.... try some different launch techniques too.

Still having electrical "issues" w/the wet kit. Gonna get that straightened out by Friday.... and try to make some 100/150 hit passes Saturday before the Shootout.

Think I'm gonna have a bumper sticker made...

Mike if you ran 120 @ Commerce in the heat you're good for 123-124 all night long on a cold fall night @ SDR. Possibly 125+ @ Steele on a cold night.

Hose that bitch, who gives a **** about N/A

Pull your bumper supports, A/C, relocate the battery, buy a light/cheap race seat for the track and leave those heavy *** lumbar seats @ home, do some light front end parts. Thats an EASY 2/2 right there. I wish I would've had time to do all that.

lol...

I work a lot bro, i've been wanting to come by but 10-14 hr days don't permit much free time. And I have my son on my days off, which are spent with him and only him.

C'mon old man, a little bumper support and A/C shouldn't be too hard to do alone. Hell, i'm scared to come help cuz the next thing you break will be my fault again
