Atlantic station is the community area that the aquarium is located in. Much like "French Quarter" in New Orleans.

I hear that Doraville(Buford Hwy) and College Park are quite nice this time of year....especially after dark...

Just kidding man...anywhere around the aquarium is ok....but probably pricey. If you are looking at driving in and visiting and then leaving to stay on the ouskirts and not downtown, then douglasville on the west side is good and buford/braselton on the northeast is good and both are cheaper than downtown but only 30-45 min away without traffic.

Also think about Stone Mountian. If you stay there, Stay in the Park or around hwy 78 and Park Place.

I live right in that area and it is right by the highway and a 15 min drive downtown. Nice area too and not sure on the room rate but can't be too bad compared to downtown. There is also a Hilton I believe 2 min. from that Marriot which also shouldn't be too bad.
